WHO WE ARE
Architects Ireland have many years experiece in all aspects of design, in
many catagories, ranging from one off residential dwellings, multiple housing
developments, apatrtments, commercial and industrial, and refurbishment
Our projects aim to demonstrate that living
and working in harmony with the micro-cosm of a individual site can develop an
understanding about minimising our day-to-day impact on it and on the macro-cosm
of our world as a whole.
Projects - Past & Present
Architects Ireland projects aim to integrate health, education and
working with the natural environment. Our buildings will generally generate
their own clean energy from on site renewable resources, harvest their own
water and recycle waste materials causing no pollution or CO2 emissions.
will be designed to passive solar guidelines following the Association for

endeavor to avoid the use of materials from non sustainable sources or which
harm the environment or people in their production, extraction, use or disposal.
Prioritise use of fair trade FSC certified timber products.
We will create
a building of quality and beauty, which embody a positive connection with
the site, using local resources, people and products.
The use of natural and
'local' building materials will maximise connection with the site and reduce
transportation, whilst maintaining the sites established eco systems.
Our projects, when implemented set themselves
apart from other projects by being at the leading edge of the integration of
innovative partnership working arrangements, sustainable design, and

construction and subsequent use.

will be managed to promote a wide range of native species of flora and fauna as
part of the on going management plan for the site.
Extensions & Refurbishment works
existing dwellings are designed to compliment and enhance the main structure -
without comprimising on our aim in a holistic natural approach in construction
methods & materials.
Our firm has
extensive experience in multiple development design, either in apartments or
housing, and work in close conjunction with the developers / contractors
to ensure that our ideals in reducing CO2 emissions are met, and that our
holistic aims & ideals and energy efficiency pursuit is not put on the back
burner in pursuit with unit profits
Commercial & Industrial
commercial & industrial developments are traditionally low efficiency and
tend to be wasteful in regard to their resources, depending on their individual
business, but our designs follow a rigorous design criteria to ensure compliance
and to meet all targets in heat loss / energy efficiency, and incorporate
all the renewable technology that will help make these buildings as self
sufficient as possible. Where possible we advise to recycle and reuse existing buildings
or products rather than extracting new raw virgin materials and manufacturing
new products from virgin materials.
Community & Healthcare
currently been commisioned to design local community centers and work in close
liaison with many community groups and local authorities to provide designs that
will be the social focal point for the community, which wishes to avail of its
services, we instill a sense of ecological mindset within the relevant groups
which have all embraced the options proposed to reduce the buildings CO2
footprint during construction and thereafter.
also designed nursing homes which incorporating our holistic approach enhances
the quality of life for the residents whom appreciate the concepts used to
provide their comfort levels and enjoyment of the structure.

A1 Passive House Design. - forthcoming project
Architects Ireland have been commissioned to design and project manage
a new dwelling which is shown below which will generally generate its own clean
energy from on site renewable resources, harvest their own water and
recycle waste materials causing no pollution or CO2 emissions.
This home has
been designed to passive solar guidelines following the Association for
Environment Conscious Buildings, AECB, Platinum standards comparable with
the acclaimed zero heat German Passiv Haus projects.
